What is happiness and what makes you happy?
What does it mean to live a meaningful life?

Personal Philosophy and Art Piece Proposal:
Personal Philosophy
For me, happiness comes as finding meaning in my life, or finding something that I am passionate about doing. This is also how I thought that the characters in A Tale for the Time Being found happiness in their lives. The thing that I find meaning in doing, mostly, is drawing. It is something that I picked up not too long ago, but have been passionate about since. I think that it is really fun and fulfilling to be able to create something that I imagine or enjoy, and to have the finished piece is a very satisfying feeling. When people find something that they are passionate about, and it can be pretty much anything, it will, undoubtedly, make them happy.
Art Piece Proposal
For my art piece, I have decided to create an art piece depicting a scene from A Tale for the Time Being when Nao comes across the “hacked” book that she decides to write her story in. This scene really stood out to me because it was the point in the book when Nao found out what she wanted to do with her life and how she begins to turn things around or herself. It wouldn't really just be created how it was described in the book though. The piece would mainly be my own interpretation of the way that it was written, which probably will cause it to be somewhat confusing. In an attempt to challenge that previous thought, I'm gonna try to add some things to the illustration to make it more recognizable as being from the story.
